Kandji Remote Erase Ensure all local files are saved to Egnyte (easiest to send straight to private folder for the user to organise without time pressure) Ensure Chrome is updated and syncing (Bookmarks, settings, themes, etc.) Message a member of the IT Team and confirm that the Mac is backed up and ready to be wiped, we will then send an Erase command via Kandji. Allow the Mac to power back on, otherwise power on the Mac if not powered on already, the Welcome screen should have appeared. Welcome screen settings: Language - English (UK) Select Your Country or Region - United Kingdom Accessibility - Not Now Remote Management - Enrol Migration Assistant - Not now Create a Computer Account - Fill this out with your full details, and the password you can keep as the one you had before the reset. Select Your Time Zone - Set time zone automatically using current location, Turn On Location Services, Continue Screen Time - Set Up Later Touch ID - Continue Choose Your Look - You decide! The restart will be complete once you have reached the desktop. The desktop image will then go blurry and a window will pop up saying Setting up your Mac... with a list of apps. Allow these to install - this will take a while. After this, the Mac will come back to the desktop screen and you should have a box in the top right from Kandji asking you to restart now. This will have a 30 minute timer informing you that the Mac will restart automatically after then, or you can speed this up by just clicking on Restart Now. Allow the Mac to restart and you should be able to simply sign back in, and you can then begin setting up your apps and accounts on the Mac again.
