How to Change the Ownership of a Zoom Meeting (and G Calendar event)
This guide will show you how to change the ownership of an event and Zoom meeting for a meeting scheduled
Systems used:
- G Calendar
- Zoom for Google WorkSpace (G Calendar Plug-In)
Part 1: Setting up the G Calendar Event
1. Create a new G Calendar event and open it up in the full view by clicking on More Options

2. Change the owner of the G Calendar event - click on the Calendar icon dropdown and select the new owner. This list is populated by the number of calendars you've subscribed to

Part 2: Setting up the Zoom Meeting
3. Fill in all the details for your G Calendar event and then add a Video Conference link by clicking the dropdown and selecting Zoom Meeting. A Zoom Meeting will be created and attached to the G Calendar event, copying the owner as the meeting host. Check to see that the G Calendar event owner matches the Meeting Host. To save the Zoom Meeting, click Update Meeting and save the G Calendar event

Additional Step: Setting up a Zoom Meeting Co-Host and Record Automatically
Zoom Meeting Hosts and Co-Hosts:
- Can record Zoom meetings if the meeting is not set to automatically start recording
4. You can set the recording setting of the Zoom meeting and Co-Hosts (alternative hosts) in the Zoom Plug-In. Scroll down to the bottom of the Plug-In and select "In the Cloud" for recording (if required to start automatically) and assign your alternative hosts (Co-Hosts) of the meeting. Remember to click on Update Meeting at the top of the Plug-In and Save the G Calendar event
Co-Hosts/Alternative Hosts:
- The co-host's full Zoom email address needs to be entered into the Plug-In field. After typing it in, click Enter to add another co-host and remember to save this by clicking Update Meeting
