Wi-Fi Slowdowns in Oxford Pod Office
Troubleshooting conducted by Andy B from the 8th Sept - 16th Sept:
Firewall and Switch configuration are OK
Narrowed down the problem to 2 issues:
- Wi-Fi interference in BeeHouse - channel congestion
- Ceiling Ports are inadequate for ceiling APs
Changes made:
- Firewall rule limiting each Wi-Fi network to 200Mb = removed
- Narrowed the channel width to 20MHz (from 40MHz) = slower throughput but less congestion
- AP-01 - channel 100
- AP-02 - channel 108 + disable radios (as this is plugged into the ceiling)
- AP-03 - channel 112
- Reduce the Transmit Power on AP-01 and AP-03 to around the 15 - 17 dBM mark
