How to obtain articles from ScienceDirect and store them on ReadCube

This is a guide on how you can purchase articles from ScienceDirect through MTM's subscription and then securely store them on the Ecosystem's ReadCube libraries

***Information***

ScienceDirect: The subscription the Ecosystem uses are tokens based on Cost Codes

ReadCube: The Ecosystem's Shared Libraries contain all the purchased articles

Obtaining an article from ScienceDirect:

1. Log in to ScienceDirect's platform and search for the article you require

2. Check that you are logged in and the company's name appears on the top right corner of the page. Click on Download PDF to access the article

3. Enter the Cost Code to proceed with purchasing the article. Each company has its own Cost Code

4. The article will open online as a PDF on Chrome. Remember to Download this article so it can be stored on ReadCube

Storing articles on ReadCube:

1. Log in to the ReadCube platform, click on the + button on the top right of the screen and click Import File

2. Select the PDF article file to upload, select the library you wish to store the article and then progress with the upload by clicking Next
